How many hoops must the common man, or woman, jump through, in order to please some drunken sod, and attain what is essentially not much more that a passing glimpse of the past, if only to please some idiot in higher office? At what point must one please the tyrant in office, such as to be entirely within the current law, and still be completely within the newer law, which is just now being enacted?
How many hoops? - Who benefits?
It is a fine thing to face machine guns for immortality and a medal, but isn't it a fine thing, too, to face calumny, injustice and loneliness for the truth which makes men free?
